Humanetics has made the decision to discontinue production of the P-Dummy child Anthropomorphic Test Device (ATD) series, which we have proudly manufactured and supported for many years.

Final orders were accepted through April 30, 2026. As previously communicated, no new orders are being accepted.

This decision reflects several factors affecting the long-term viability of the product line, including:

• The discontinuation of the UN Regulation No. 44 (UN R44) child restraint standard.
• A sustained global decline in demand for P-Dummy products.
• The aging of the specialized manufacturing equipment required to produce the series.

While the P-Dummy family is being discontinued, Humanetics continues to support child occupant safety testing through the Q-Series child ATD family. Developed as the modern generation of child Anthropomorphic Test Devices, the Q-Series provides enhanced biofidelity, expanded instrumentation, and is widely used for today's child restraint and vehicle safety testing programs. For many testing applications, the Q-Series serves as the modern equivalent to the P-Dummy family.
