Nat Beuse is the Chief Safety Officer at Aurora, the company delivering the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. Nat leads the development and implementation of Aurora’s holistic safety approach as well as the quality strategy for Aurora driverless products. He played a primary role in the launch of Aurora’s commercial autonomous trucking service and the continued release of driverless products on public roads. Before Aurora, Nat led the safety team at Uber Advanced Technologies Group (ATG) and, before working in the private sector, he served as the Associate Administrator for Vehicle Safety Research at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). He lives in Pittsburgh, PA, with his family.
