
MARCY EDWARDS
Senior Research Engineer | IIHS
Marcy Edwards is a senior research engineer at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Ms. Edwards conducts much of the crashworthiness research that serves as the foundation for the Institute’s vehicle safety evaluations. Her research has focused on whiplash prevention, protection for rear-seat occupants in frontal crashes, child passenger safety, and, most recently, the use of virtual testing with computer models. Ms. Edwards joined the Institute in 2000. She received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech.
