THOR-50M FE
THOR-50M (Test device for Human Occupant Restraint) is an advanced frontal impact 50th percentile adult male dummy. THOR-50M has enhanced biofidelic features and is instrumented for comprehensive injury assessment. THOR-50M is available in Standard Build Level B (SBL-B), which is specified for Euro NCAP, China NCAP and is being evaluated by NHTSA for use in US NCAP.
For the THOR-50M FE dummy model, the direct output of IR-TRACC relative displacements to the coordinate system on the spine box in nodal output is available without the complex vector transformation.
To capture dummy-to-dummy variation in performance, a customized thorax borderline model is implemented in the THOR-50M US NCAP and THOR-50M Euro NCAP Borderline FE models. This allows the user to specify the thorax stiffness to match specific physical dummy test data or study the effect of thorax variation.
C-NCAP introduced a new virtual testing scenario combining the pre-crash phase and crash phase (MPDB load case) to create an out-of-position configuration of the occupant during the crash phase. THOR-50M Euro NCAP model should be used for the crash phase. The THOR-50M C-NCAP model meets the C-NCAP pre-crash certification requirements and enables the user to execute this new virtual testing scenario.

Licensing
- Annual License
The model is leased for a period of one year and renewable on its anniversary of purchase. Model support and upgrades are provided during this period.
- Licensing Procedure

CAD
Humanetics offers surfaced 3D CAD models for use in vehicle packaging studies using major common CAD systems. The models are available in IGES Format for import to CATIA, Pro/Engineer, IDEAS, Unigraphics, PDGS and other IGES compatible systems. The models are derived from the Humanetics family of finite element dummy models and 3-D dummy design geometry. CAD models are only offered as a paid-up license.
