We are pleased to announce that Jeff Lewis has joined the Humanetics Group as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) reporting to Christopher O’Connor, President and CEO. In this role he will be responsible for driving the commercial growth across all our Group companies, in new markets, new sectors and new solutions.
With over 20 years of experience in advanced engineering and market development, Jeff has extensive experience within the USA, Europe and Asian markets with a proven background in market analysis, strategic business planning and successful execution. He received his Master’s of Engineering, in Mechanical Engineering with Management, from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
A great deal of Jeff’s career has been in the test and measurement sector. He has a multi-functional background across engineering, R&D, business development and customer interactions. He has supplied and led engagements for both physical test and measurement product lines, working with engineering leaders around future technology, new product development and launch.

Previously, Jeff was the Executive Director, Advanced Applications for AVL Test Systems, where he also spent 3 years in Shanghai. “In China, I was responsible for new business development and I also championed global execution projects. When I came back to the US my primary role with AVL was to engage with client executives to deploy leading edge product development platforms that would deliver the most advanced vehicles of tomorrow.”
Chris O’Connor, President and CEO, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Jeff to the Humanetics family. In his role as CCO of the Humanetics Group, Jeff will expand our global strategy to drive growth into new regions and sectors. We will benefit greatly from Jeff’s experience, building new propositions for clients in Europe, China and the US, as we develop innovative technologies and bring new solutions to our customers.”
Jeff will work across all our Group companies to strengthen and grow our relationships with customers, develop strategic partnerships and further enhance relationships with government agencies. His vast experience, combined with the relationships that he has built over his career, will strengthen our efforts worldwide towards future business growth.

“I am so excited to join the Humanetics Group,” commented Jeff. “There are few more meaningful purposes in the automotive sector than to develop the safest vehicles that save lives - and Humanetics is core to that ambition with a unique and holistic perspective on occupant safety. We are at the edge of a new era in automotive safety - with a new generation of THOR crash test dummies, advanced software crash simulation models and the advent of autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles and active safety systems - Humanetics is well placed to help OEMs push towards the goal of zero fatalities.”
Jeff is eager to point out that the opportunities for the Humanetics Group is far broader than its work in automotive safety: ”Humanetics is building a unique set of technologies that are applied across many fast growth industries like defense, biomedical and telecommunications. I am really excited by its complementary technologies in sensor, fiber optics and precision engineering where there are boundless opportunities to bring innovative solutions to other industries.”
