The main tasks are the assessment through measurement and the decision that an item fulfils the specifications. The inspector plays a key position in the overall quality management system where process standardization and the reduction in performance variation are integral to the plant\u2019s continuous improvement.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EEssential Duties \u0026amp; Responsibilities:\u003Cbr\u003E\nInspection and assessment of incoming, work-in-process, and final materials.\u003Cbr\u003E\nAdherence to all company and quality policies and procedures.\u003Cbr\u003E\nAssist with the document control maintenance.\u003Cbr\u003E\nAssist with the maintenance of measurement devices in the calibration program.\u003Cbr\u003E\nCompletion of process data collection and statistical evaluations.\u003Cbr\u003E\nHandle multiple tasks and accept verbal direction with efficiency.\u003Cbr\u003E\nCollection of records, history and other pertinent information to summarize reports.\u003Cbr\u003E\nAssessment of return goods and customer compliant items as directed\u003Cbr\u003E\nMaintain a neat and orderly work site.\u003Cbr\u003E\nCritical Competencies:\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Ability to read blueprints\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Knowledge of proper usage methods for measurement equipment, i.e.: gages, callipers, height gages, micrometers and other standard devices\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Ability to perform basic math functions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, proportions, rates, and percent\u2019s.\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Understanding of basic statistical functions; average, range, standard deviation, SPC charts, scatter plots, and regression.\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Familiarity with production software MRP, ERP systems required\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Basic computer skills, such as MS Office suite\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Basic technical problem solving skills.\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Good organizational skills and ability to handle administrative tasks.\u003Cbr\u003E\n   \u2022 Good written and verbal communication skills required. Machine shop experience in the quality discipline or a related field will be considered.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u2022One to three years of quality or related experience in a factory environment is preferred.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u2022Prior Experience in an ISO 9001 systems a plus.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u2022Database experience is a plus.
